ZUMI HIDALGO

Zumi joined Big Pictures in 2007 as a DP/Cameraman (and sometimes soundman/grip) with extensive experience, a creative vision, and a great list of credits. With over ten years of shooting under his belt, Zumi has worked for several TV stations and more recently Coveredge in Las Vegas. His credits include HBO, ESPN, and CBS. Zumi has a passion for lighting and telling stories with the camera - a perfect fit for Big PIctures!

Zumi is a native of Denver, with a rich and interesting heritage. Zumi is actually short for Zumalacárregui, named after his great-great grandfather - the famous Spanish military tactician and the most brilliant soldier to fight for Don Carlos, a Bourbon traditionalist contender for the Spanish throne, in the First Carlist War (1833-39). If you're nice to him, Zumi may actually pronounce his full name for you! Then you can try, it's great fun!

And with Zumi, we now have an inside scoop on the weather! Zumi's wife is Lisa Hidalgo, an on-camera meteorologist for Denver's ABC affiliate Channel 7 - KMGH.
